Streets of Rage 3 Play as Shiva
To play as Shiva, defeat him, then press and hold B until the next level begins. When your lives run out and it's time to continue, cycle through the fighters and Shiva should appear. You can now play as this awesome fighter! Shiva has several devasting attacks, but he can not use any weapons. His Power Attack is a Twirling Spin Kick, which is activated by pressing A.

Streets of Rage 3 Secret Rooms
Fight your way to stage 5. After you defeat the baddies in the first room, you can enter one of two secret rooms.

Access to one of the secret rooms is gained by kicking or punching the third red panel (this panel appears somewhat discolored compared to the other three) located at the top of the screen. This is the richer of the two secret rooms, but there are more baddies to defeat.

Access to the other secret room is gained by doing a jump-kick against the stone-like wall at the top right side of the screen.

Streets of Rage 3 Extra Lives
At the Options screen, highlight Number of Players and press UP + A + B + C on Controller Two, then press RIGHT on Controller One. You can now select up to 9 lives.

Streets of Rage 3 Alternate way to get Roo
Get to Level 2 Scene 1 and you'll fight Roo and his cruel trainer. Beat Roo's trainer and not Roo and he'll join your group. Now next time you continue, you can select Roo from your line-up of characters.

Streets of Rage 3 Level Select
At the Menu screen, hold B, then press UP and move to Options. With these buttons still held, press START. You will hear a tone confirming the code and a new STAGE SELECT item will appear on the Options screen.

Streets of Rage 3 Play as Roo
At the Title screen, hold Up + B, then press Start. You should be able to select Roo from the player select screen. Alternatively, defeat the Stage 3 mid-level boss and free Roo. Remember, Roo can not use any weapons.

Streets of Rage 3 Play as Same Character
To let two players use the same character, hold DOWN + C on Controller Two when selecting a two-player game.

Streets of Rage 3 Play as Ash - Japanese
This trick only works in the Japanese version as the US censors had him removed from the American version. (Ash was a stereotyped homosexual.) If you're fortunate enough to have the Japanese version, press and hold A after defeating Ash, and continue to hold until the next screen. You can now select Ash when you continue.

Streets of Rage 3 Super Axel
To get Super Axel make sure you have a 6-button controller. Choose Axel and start the game. Start tapping the X button repeatedly and move the d-pad counter-clockwise (if you have a turbo controller you can hold the X-button down.)

Keep doing this until you start the first level. Don't stop until after you do a spinning punch followed by a jumping uppercut. Now press the A button. If done correctly, Axel will do a spinning punch followed by his dragon smash.

This move is tremendously powerful. It does obscene damage, knocks down ALL enemies, and doesn't consume life energy. HOWEVER: you are not invincible during this move, and will lose your other specials.

At the options screen, select the players option, press A+B+C+Up onController 2, and use Controller 1 to select 9

Streets of Rage 3 Power Rush Attack
To gain a star, acharacter must obtain 40,000 points without dying to obtain a star. And cangain a second one, if you get another 40,000, until 3 stars have beenobtained. So it is possible to gain two stars after a level, if the difficultyis hard enough. There stars will increase the power of your rushing attack. However, if you have a six-button controller there's an easier way. Just use one of the following codes for a level 1, 2, or 3 Power Rush.
