Gradius Deluxe Pack Continue on Gradius 1
To continue on Gradius 1, you must beat the game first, then, after you lose your last life, and you are taken back to the title screen, you will see a new option called 'No wait'.

Gradius Deluxe Pack Full Weapons
Here's a cheat that's so old, it may as well be new. The classic NES cheat, where you pause the game and press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A still gives you full weaponry. This works on both Gradius 1 and 2. The only drawback is that you're limited to doing this once per round.
